May 9, 10, 11 .... 2012
It can be tough finding warblers some days but there is always something good to shoot. Every year rarities are spotted and reported by the multitude of expert birders and photographers. I will be going there to shoot as I do every year, but I am offering a 5-6 hour introduction where I will show people the park layout and some local spots outside the park that can be very productive and tips on shooting warblers (believe me Warbler shooting is tough!). If the Warblers have not arrived in numbers we will concentrate on scoping various locations. I will show you where to find Warblers, Shorebirds, Passerines, Gulls Terns and Egrets etc. I recommend you stay at least a few days after the workshop if you can. I will probably be there by May 9th, available for workshops 9th and 10th and possibly later in the week I will answer any questions you have. The day starts at 7:00 AM. I will only have a few people at most in these workshop (because they get in my way while I am shooting!) In addition I will provide a map with the local birding hotspots outside the park. Fee $250 in advance per person. You are responsible for your own transportation and park fees. Mail cheque to: Ken Newcombe
